Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Academic Researcher with extensive experience exceeding 18 years in oral, maxillofacial, and facial surgery. His expertise encompasses clinical practice, university teaching, and scientific research.
He earned a Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Damascus, followed by a Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and subsequently a Master's degree and a PhD. He also holds the Syrian Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He worked as a Resident Doctor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Hospital at the University of Damascus for nine years, gaining extensive practical experience in minor and major surgeries. This includes extraction of impacted teeth, trauma and fracture surgeries, maxillary sinus lift procedures, as well as soft and hard tissue surgeries.
He possesses international experience, having worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Al Jazeera Medical Center – Qatar / QCHP between 2015 and 2020, where he provided advanced surgical services adhering to high-quality standards. He holds professional licenses to practice in both Syria and Qatar.
Alongside his clinical work, he has contributed to the academic field as a faculty member and lecturer at several Syrian universities. These include the University of Damascus, the Arab International University, and the International University for Science and Technology (IUST), where he served as Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department between 2022 and 2023. He then taught at Al-Sham Private University (SPU) between 2023 and 2024. His teaching expertise focuses on Oral Surgery, Surgical Extraction, Head and Neck Anatomy, and Minor and Major Surgeries.
He has published a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers in local and Arab journals. His research includes clinical studies on the efficacy of topical Tramadol application for pain management following surgical extraction, and studies on maxillary sinus lift using the balloon technique, including radiographic and clinical analysis of success factors.
He has participated in Arab and international scientific conferences and has obtained several training courses in Qatar in the fields of Infection Control, Empathetic Behavior in Healthcare, Management of Oral Trauma in Sports, and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders.
