Based on the Arab International University keenness to link higher education and scientific research to industry, the Arab International university is organizing a workshop entitled: Developing a pharmaceutical formula prospects cooperation between universities and the pharmaceutical industry
The workshop presents how to develop a pharmaceutical formula by presenting a model of the stages of the development of the pharmaceutical formula of a drug that was accomplished using equipment developed in the technological development unit of the dean of scientific research at the university. The equipment are used for pharmaceutical scientific research purposes and the development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals in limited quantities to meet the needs of national pharmaceutical companies and for the purposes of education in the faculties of pharmacy.
The opening of the workshop will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University headquarters in Ghabagheb, according to the attached program, and the workshop will continue for two days on Saturday and Sunday, October 24-25, according to the following program:
Day 1:
10:30 - 10:00 Participants Registration
10:45 - 10:30 Welcome speech by The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Dr. Maher Al-Qattini.
11:05 - 10:45 Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry Unit - D. Mazen Rajab.
11:25 - 11:05 Upgraded equipment in the D.C. Technological Development Unit Ahmed Tounsi.
12:30 - 11:30 Opening of the pharmaceutical exhibition on the sidelines of the workshop and a break.
14:30 - 12:30 Practical presentation of equipment limited manufacturing of pharmaceutical formula services laboratory scientific research in the Faculty of Pharmacy
Day 2:
10:50 - 10:30 Presentation of a collaboration experience between the Pharmaceutical Industry Unit and The National Company in the development of pharmaceutical formula Dr. Mazen Rajab.
11:10 - 10:50 Presentation of a collaboration experience between the Pharmaceutical Industry Unit and Tamico Dr. Leila Shehadeh Laboratory.
11:30 - 11:10 Services of the Technological Development Unit in the field of scientific research D. Ahmed Tounsi.
12:30 - 11:30 Tour of the Pharmaceutical Exhibition and Break.
14:00 - 12:30 Practical presentation of equipment limited manufacturing of pharmaceutical formula.
14:00 - 14:30 Discuss the prospects of cooperation between universities and the pharmaceutical industry and conclusion.
An exhibition of pharmaceutical products will be held on the sidelines of the workshop and will be attended by a group of specialists in this field from laboratories and national universities.
