Resource Management in Satellite Networks: Optimization and Cross-Layer Design addresses the emergent research area of cross-layer air interface design for satellite systems. A detailed analysis of cross-layer methods is presented along with new analytical and simulation results demonstrating that these techniques can assures high QoS levels for differentiated traffic classes.
