Dr. Rana Halak

A pharmacist and expert in clinical chemistry and biochemistry, with more than 14 years of experience in university teaching for pharmacy and dentistry students. She combines academic work with applied experience, as she manages a private diagnostic laboratory and serves as a teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Arab International University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Damascus University, followed by a Diploma and a Master’s in Clinical Biochemistry, then a PhD in Biochemistry from Damascus University. She also earned a second PhD in Medical Sciences from Saarland University in Germany. Her research focuses on the molecular diagnosis of tumors, especially the role of the p53 gene, in addition to advanced studies in radiological analysis, nuclear medicine, and PET/CT applications, alongside research in clinical biochemistry and gynecology. She has published a number of scientific researches in international peer-reviewed journals and participated in local and international medical and scientific conferences, and she received the Best Research Award for Young Researchers at a medical conference in Beirut.
