Dr. Rami jarjor

Research Director at the Atomic Energy Commission of Syria (AECS) – Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology since 2004. He is a Consultant in Genetic Diseases and Genetic Counseling, with extensive academic and research expertise in Medical Genetics and Molecular Biology. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Arab International University (AIU), since 2017.

  • Master’s in Medical Genetics, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Damascus University.

Research and Publications

He has published more than 19 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals, covering a wide range of specialized topics, including:

  • Genetic mutations associated with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF).

  • The geographical distribution of Beta-Globin mutations in Syria.

  • Mutations related to Cystic Fibrosis, Thalassemia, and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL).

  • Rare and complex cases in pediatric hematology and oncology.

International Collaboration

He has participated in international research projects in collaboration with scientific teams from the United Kingdom, Germany, and Portugal, demonstrating profound expertise in multidisciplinary and cross-border research environments.
