Dr. Ahmad Altounsi

He is an engineer and academic researcher specializing in Powder Technology and Mechanical Engineering. He holds a PhD in Powder Technology from Dublin City University in Ireland, following a Master’s degree in Engineering from the same university, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Damascus University. He possesses over three decades of academic and practical experience in the fields of scientific research, engineering design, laboratory equipment development, and academic supervision.

He has held multiple academic and administrative positions, most notably the Head of the Technology Development Unit at the Arab International University, and has supervised numerous Master’s theses at prestigious Syrian universities. He has extensive research contributions published in international scientific conferences and journals, particularly in the fields of metallic and ceramic powders, pharmaceutical industries, and advanced manufacturing techniques.

He also possesses practical experience in engineering consultancy, as he owns a private engineering consultancy office. Furthermore, he has expertise in production management, reverse engineering, and the design and implementation of laboratory and industrial equipment, along with long-standing experience in university teaching for subjects such as mechanical engineering, materials science, and powder technology.
