Dr. Sawsan Abdulrazak Bitar

An Assistant Professor of Law and an academic researcher specializing in Administrative and Public Law. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from Damascus University, with a dissertation titled "The Effects of Administrative Contracts on Third Parties". She also earned a Master’s degree in Administrative and Financial Sciences, a Higher Diploma in Private Law, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the same university. Dr. Al-Bitar possesses over fifteen years of experience in university teaching, scientific research, curriculum development, and academic program management.

She currently serves as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Arab International University (AIU) in Damascus, having previously served as the Head of the Public Law Department (2018–2020) at the same institution.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Al-Bitar has delivered advanced courses in Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Civil Law, and Legal Sciences. She has played a pivotal role in designing core curricula that have become standard benchmarks for teaching Administrative Law and Legal Sciences.

Beyond the classroom, she has contributed significantly to curriculum advancement, supervised numerous graduation projects, and mentored students in practical legal applications. She has also participated in international conferences and symposiums, most notably the scientific seminar on "The Principle of Equality between Men and Women in Arab Laws" held in Algeria (2023).

Her published research in peer-reviewed journals includes studies on: The Provisions of Assigning Administrative Contracts, Essential Steps in Combating Administrative Corruption, The Rights of Working Women in National Legislation and International Conventions, and Job Performance Evaluation and its Impact on Efficiency. Furthermore, she has authored three fundamental textbooks that serve as accredited references in legal education: Administrative Law (Parts I & II) and Introduction to the Science of Law.
