Dr. Abd Alrahman Alsaadee
An academic and expert in Islamic Sharia studies, specializing in financial transactions according to Islamic Sharia. He possesses extensive teaching and research experience, having earned a PhD in Islamic Sharia from the University of Damascus, as well as a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Sharia, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Translation.
His research work has focused on financial transactions, zakat (almsgiving), waqf (endowments), Islamic banking transactions, and issues of economic transactions according to Sharia, where he has published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in prominent scientific journals, including those of the University of Damascus, the University of Aleppo, Al-Turath Al-Arabi Journal, and Al-Hikmah Journal. He has also supervised and examined doctoral and master's theses, and edited and authenticated important Islamic books, most notably "Al-Mizan Al-Sha'raniyyah" and "Tanbih Al-Mughtarreen."
On the academic and professional level, he served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sharia for Administrative and Student Affairs from 2021 to 2024, and was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Damascus for 2024/2025. He also heads the Department of Jurisprudence and Personal Status, serves as a member of the Sharia Supervisory Boards of Islamic banks and Takaful (Islamic insurance) companies, and participates in national committees concerned with Halal legislation.
Dr. Al-Saadi has participated in international and regional conferences and workshops, including conferences on the scientific quality of theses, commercial arbitration, and Islamic banks, presenting valuable research that contributes to the development of Islamic economic jurisprudence and its practical applications.
He possesses distinguished teaching experience in various subjects related to financial transactions, jurisprudence, and personal status, and teaches at the University of Damascus, the Arab International University, and Bilad Al-Sham University, in addition to his previous teaching experience at Sharia institutes. Dr. Al-Saadi is a native speaker of Arabic, and is proficient in English at an advanced level, as well as French, Spanish, and Turkish at an intermediate level.
