Dr. Ammar Hussin

Dr. Ammar Hussin

A Syrian academic and researcher specializing in Human Resources Management and Management Sciences. He currently holds the position of lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration of the Arab International University in Damascus, where he teaches a variety of courses including Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Administrative Development, and Principles of Management.

He earned a PhD in Management Sciences with a specialization in Human Resources Management from the Higher Institute of Business Administration (HIBA), after obtaining a Master’s degree in the same field and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the same institute.

He currently serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Business Administration of the Arab International University, teaching courses in Administrative Development, Principles of Management, Human Resources Management, and Organizational Behavior. He previously worked as a lecturer at Al-Rasheed University and as an instructor at several training institutes and centers.

In addition to his academic experience, he has a rich professional background in both the public and private sectors. He held the position of Human Resources Manager at Perla Tech between 2022 and 2024. Prior to that, he worked at the Syrian Arab Television for over seven years, where he undertook significant administrative and training roles such as Head of the Training Department and Head of the Technology and Informatics Department, in addition to his membership in permanent committees for human resources development and research and development. He also worked at the Central Bank of Syria in the Governor’s Office and the Banking Training Institute during 2017–2018.

He has published a number of academic research papers addressing topics related to employee behavior, job characteristics, and job satisfaction. Notable among these are his study testing the Hackman and Oldham job characteristics model in the government media sector (2018), and his research on the impact of personality types on career success, as well as testing the mediating role of psychological states in the relationship between job characteristics and job satisfaction.

Alongside his academic activities, he has completed several specialized training courses in leadership, performance management, statistical analysis using SPSS, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
