Anafilassi in pediatria = Anaphylaxis in pediatrics
Anaphylaxis is defined as an immediate systemic reaction due to the rapid IgE mediated release of potent mediators from tissue mast cells and peripheral blood basophils and represents a generalized clinical condition that includes skin, respiratory, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal signs and symptoms. It includes various clinical pictures, which derive from the association of symptoms such as urticaria, angioedema, vomiting, diarrhea, asthma, dyspnoea, edema of the glottis, hypotension, shock, etc., not always easy to identify, which however require a timely and correct diagnostic approach. .
An Integrated Approach to Software Engineering
An Integrated Approach to Software Engineering introduces software engineering to advanced-level undergraduate and graduate students of computer science. It emphasizes a case-study approach whereby a project is developed through the course of the book, illustrating the different activities of software development. The sequence of chapters is essentially the same as the sequence of activities performed during a typical software project. All activities, including quality assurance and control activities, are described in each chapter as integral activities for that phase of development. Similarly, the author carefully introduces appropriate metrics for controlling and assessing the software process. Chapters in this revised edition, updated for today’s standards, include these new features: Software Process, Requirements Analysis and Specification, Software Architecture, Project Planning, Object Oriented Design, Coding,Testing,
Allelopathy : A Physiological Process with Ecological Implications
This book provides the reader relevant information about actual knowledge about the process of allelopathy, covering all aspects from the molecular to the ecological level. Special relevance is given to the physiological and ecophysiological aspects of allelopathy. Several ecosystems are studied and methodological considerations are taken into account in several different chapters. The book has been written to be useful both for Ph.D. students and for senior researchers, so the chapters include all necessary information to be read by beginners, but they also include a lot of useful information and discussion for the initiated.
Algorithmic Aspects of Bioinformatics
Advances in bioinformatics and systems biology require improved computational methods for analyzing data, while progress in molecular biology is in turn influencing the development of computer science methods. This book introduces some key problems in bioinformatics, discusses the models used to formally describe these problems, and analyzes the algorithmic approaches used to solve them. After introducing the basics of molecular biology and algorithmics, Part I explains string algorithms and alignments; Part II details the field of physical mapping and DNA sequencing; and Part III examines the application of algorithmics to the analysis of biological data. Exciting application examples include predicting the spatial structure of proteins, and computing haplotypes from genotype data. This book describes topics in detail and presents formal models in a mathematically precise, yet intuitive manner, with many figures and chapter summaries, detailed derivations, and examples. It is well suited as an introduction into the field of bioinformatics, and will benefit students and lecturers in bioinformatics and algorithmics, while also offering practitioners an update on current research topics.
AI sign language translator
People with disabilities are facing a lot of difficulties every day. Whether it is in social life, work or education environment, or in communication. The effect of assistive technologies in enhancing people with disabilities was huge. Assistive technologies refer to the term of products or related systems that are used to help people with disabilities to maintain or improve functioning and thereby promote well-being. These technologies allow people with difficulties to be more productive in life. Assistive technologies could be in many forms such as wheelchairs, communication products or other forms. In the communication products, many efforts have been made to develop systems or devices that assist individuals who have difficulty understanding and producing speech.
AI in disease detection : Advancements and applications
Discusses the integration of artificial intelligence to revolutionize disease detection approaches, with case studies of AI in disease detection as well as insight into the opportunities and challenges of AI in healthcare as a whole. The book explores a wide range of individual AI components such as computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning as well as the development and implementation of AI systems for efficient practices in data collection, model training, and clinical validation.
Age-related changes of the human Eye

Advances in mathematical economics ; Vol. 9
A lot of economic problems can formulated as constrained optimizations and equilibration of their solutions. Various mathematical theories have been supplying economists with indispensable machineries for these problems arising in economic theory. Conversely, mathematicians have been stimulated by various mathematical difficulties raised by economic theories. The series is designed to bring together those mathematicians who were seriously interested in getting new challenging stimuli from economic theories with those economists who are seeking for effective mathematical tools for their researchers.

Advances in Artificial Economics : The Economy as a Complex Dynamic System
Perceiving the economy as a complex dynamic system, generates a need for new tools for its study. As a constructive simulation method, Agent-Based Computational Economics (ACE) has in recent years proven its strength and extensive applicability. Fields of study are widely spread within economics, with a cluster around financial markets. This book is based on communications given at AE’2006 (Aalborg, Denmark) – the second symposium on Artificial Economics, and covers both wellknown questions of economics, like the existence of market efficiency, as well as new questions raised by the new tools, for example questions related to networks of social interaction.

A Fair Share of Tax : A Fiscal Anthropology of Contemporary Sweden
Takes a taxpayer's perspective to the relations taxation creates between people and their state. Larsen proposes that in order to understand tax compliance and cheating, we have to look beyond law, psychological experiments and surveys to include tax collectors and taxpayers' practices. The text explores the view of taxes seen as citizen’s explicit economic relation to the state and implicit economic relation to all other compatriots. Larsen suggests how to build and increase tax compliance if we take the idea of taxation creating reciprocal relations seriously.
A Concise Introduction to Software Engineering
This text focuses on the essential elements, providing readers with the basic skills and introductory knowledge required to execute a software project successfully.
3D-Position Tracking and Control for All-Terrain Robots
Rough terrain robotics is a fast evolving field of research and a lot of effort is deployed towards enabling a greater level of autonomy for outdoor vehicles. This book demonstrates how the accuracy of 3D position tracking can be improved by considering rover locomotion in rough terrain as a holistic problem. In this work, a mechanical structure allowing smooth motion across obstacles with limited wheel slip is used. In particular, it enables the use of odometry and inertial sensors to improve the position estimation in rough terrain. A method for computing 3D motion increments based on the wheel encoders and chassis state sensors is developed. The algorithm runs online and can be adapted to any kind of passive wheeled rover. Finally, sensor fusion using 3D-Odometry, inertial sensors and visual motion estimation based on stereovision is presented. The experimental results demonstrate how each sensor contributes to increase the accuracy and robustness of the 3D position estimation.
