Ph. Alaa Oraij
He is a specialist in Microbiology and Laboratory Sciences, with more than 15 years of academic and practical experience in university teaching and laboratory work in Syria and Lebanon. He earned a master’s degree in Microbiology from Beirut Arab University, where his thesis focused on “Detection of Helicobacter pylori in its various sources in the Bekaa region and its modes of transmission.” He also holds an academic diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques, preceded by a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Lebanese International University.
Dr. Alaa teaches several courses at Arab International University, including Parasitology, Medical Bacteriology, and Microbial Pharmacy, in addition to his previous role supervising the Medical Bacteriology Laboratory. He also teaches the practical Hematology course at the Faculty of Science of University of Damascus.
He has extensive experience as a laboratory specialist in several laboratories and hospitals in Beirut, where he worked in laboratory diagnostics and advanced analytical techniques.
Dr. Alaa is highly proficient in the use of several modern laboratory techniques, including ELISA, PCR, Flow Cytometry, and Bacterial Identification, among others.
