Dr. Wafa Habbal
She holds a PhD in Microbiology from the Faculty of Pharmacy – University of Damascus, after obtaining a Master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in laboratory diagnostics, following a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the same university. In addition, she holds the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential from the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
She currently works at the University of Damascus within the Distinguished Biomedical Sciences Program, in addition to her work at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Arab International University. She also serves as the technical supervisor at the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory in Damascus University Hospital.
She has extensive experience in the field of molecular diagnostics and viral diseases. Her research focuses on viral hepatitis, molecular genetics, and PCR techniques. She has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers in prestigious international journals and has contributed to the development of advanced diagnostic and analytical protocols in the field of medical virology.
