Dr. Nadah Shauod

 

A researcher and academic specializing in transportation engineering and construction materials, she holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Damascus University, a Master's degree and a Diploma in Civil Engineering (Transportation and Communications Department) from Damascus University, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university. With over 25 years of experience in university teaching, academic supervision, and advanced laboratory work in the field of paving materials and technologies, she currently serves as a faculty member at the College of Civil Engineering at the Arab International University, where she teaches courses in construction materials and concrete technology, in addition to supervising graduation projects and guiding students in their academic paths. Since 2014, she has also worked as a supervisor in the Transportation and Construction Materials Department at Damascus University, following a long career that began in 1994 as a delegated engineer and supervisor of the Roads Laboratory.

Her research focuses on the properties of asphalt pavement layers, improving the performance of asphalt pavements using metal reinforcement grids, and studying deformations in pavement layers at low speeds. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the Damascus University Journal and Al-Baath University Journal.

She has extensive experience in engineering laboratories, particularly in the fields of concrete technology, paving materials, and supervising applied experiments, in addition to overseeing individual student projects.
