Dr. Eng. Samir Abou Akl
Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Arab International University
Assistant Professor in Mathematical Sciences, with over four decades of academic and teaching experience in both pure and applied mathematics at several Arab universities.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences (Differential Geometry).
He has taught at universities including Damascus University, Arab International University, Al-Baath University (Syria), Algeria, and the Seventh of April University (Libya), instructing mathematics courses for students in science and engineering faculties. He has also held several administrative positions, such as Head of the Mathematics Department in the Faculty of Science at Al-Baath University, Head of the Mathematics Division in the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University, and Head of the Basic Sciences Department in the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Arab International University.
Dr. Abu Aqil has made significant scientific contributions in the field of differential geometry and contact metric structures, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has also authored and co-authored university textbooks in mathematics, differential geometry, and mathematical analysis. Additionally, he has supervised master’s and doctoral theses and served as an examiner for numerous academic dissertations.
