Dr. khalil al halabi

An academic researcher and engineer; faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for Textile Industries and Technologies at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering – Damascus University, and a lecturer at the College of Arts at the Arab International University since 2019. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University and later earned a postgraduate diploma in Engine Engineering. He completed his graduate studies in Türkiye, obtaining both a Master’s and a PhD in Textile Engineering from Çukurova University in Adana. His research focused on improving the quality of synthetic yarns using anti-static oils. He held several engineering positions at the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education and contributed to the development of academic and research curricula in the textile industry. He supervised numerous master’s theses addressing advanced topics such as statistical modeling, artificial intelligence, and optimization of textile machinery performance. He has published multiple scientific papers in peer-reviewed international and local journals and participated in specialized conferences and workshops in Türkiye and Syria, including the AUTEX World Textile Conference and the Kahramanmaraş Textile Technologies Conference. In 2022, he was granted a patent for a device measuring fabric drape coefficient. His research interests include spinning technology, quality control, textile testing, statistical process control, and data analysis using statistical software.
