New strategies in treating and diagnosing of Myeloid Leukemia
Leukemia is a cancer of white blood cells. It is characterized by an abnormal accumulation of WBC in the bone marrow which leads to bone marrow failure. in this project, we will observe myeloid leukemias (acute & chronic), Clinical Practice Guidelines for leukemia provide recommendations on the diagnostic evaluation, and applied treatment in Syria and Germany for induction and consolidation for patients and we're going to devote a special paragraph on therapy with monoclonal antibodies. Gilteritinib are new therapies for acute myeloid leukemia and we're going to suggest them in detail.
Molecular Mimicry : Infection Inducing Autoimmune Disease
The conceptual basis for molecular mimicry was first defined in the early 1980s when monoclonal antibodies against viruses were also shown to react with non-viral host protein; in this case, measles virus phosphoprotein cross-reacted with host cell cytokeratin, herpes simplex virus type 1 with host-cell vimentin and vaccinia virus with host-cell intermediate filaments. Following this discovery, others emerged, again at the clonal level, that T cell clones against proteins from a variety of infectious agents also reacted with host antigenic determinants. The clonal distinction was imperative fo.
Introduction to biologic and biosimilar product development and analysis
Gives a concise introduction to development and analysis of pharmaceutical biologics for those in the pharmaceutical industry who are switching focus from small molecules to biologics processing, analysis, and delivery. In order to maintain a limited focus, Introduction to Biologic and Biosimilar Product Development and Analysis, will deal only with peptides, proteins and monoclonal antibodies.
High value fermentation products ; Vol.1 : Human health
This book describes relevant aspects of industrial-scale fermentation, an expanding area of activity, which already generates commercial values of over one third of a trillion US dollars annually, and which will most likely radically change the way we produce chemicals in the long-term future. From biofuels and bulk amino acids to monoclonal antibodies and stem cells, they all rely on mass suspension cultivation of cells in stirred bioreactors, which is the most widely used and versatile way to produce.
Les thérapies ciblées = Targeted therapies
We are at the start of the development of new therapeutic classes, directed against new molecular targets (EGFR, VEGF, IGFR, Rank, etc.) Several diseases such as kidney, colon or breast cancer, GIST, have a natural history now modified thanks to these therapies. This practical book takes stock of the current use of these molecules.
Cancer immunotherapy
Defining Cancer as a disease in which some of the body's cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body, making it an enormous medical and economic burden accounting for 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Cancer treatments were being introduced for a long time. The development of specific therapies to treat cancer really depends on the continued discovery of the molecular changes that lead to the malignant progression of human cancers. More and more drugs are being developed to block cancer pathways that lead to impaired growth and survival of cancer cells. In this dissertation, the concept of cellular and immunotherapy of cancer will be discussed briefly, taking into considerations the mechanisms of action, the advantages, challenges and drawbacks of the different types of monoclonal antibodies and CAR T-Cell therapy.
Biopharmaceutical drug design and development
Biopharmaceutical Drug Design and Development, Second Edition, updates the widely successful first edition, published in 1999. This new, expanded edition investigates the dozens of new biopharmaceutical drugs that have become available since the publication of the first edition. Among the drugs discussed are ones in the categories of monoclonal antibodies for in-vivo use, cytokines, growth factors, enzymes, immunomodulators, thrombolytics, and immonotherapies including vaccines. Additionally, the volume examines new and emerging technologies, such as bioinformatics, DNA microarrays, transgenics, therapeutic gene delivery, stem cells, nucleic acid-based therapeutics, and macromolecular drug delivery. Authors also study pharmacogenetics in the clinic and changes in biologic drug approval at the FDA. Biopharmaceutical Drug Design and Development, Second Edition, is a worthy sequel in the discussion on the dynamic, exciting field of biotechnology.
An introduction to bioanalysis of biopharmaceuticals
Provides a comprehensive review of the fundamental and practical aspects of bioanalytical support and the integral role it plays in the development of safe and efficacious biopharmaceutical drugs with speed and cost-effectiveness. Focuses on a broad range of conventional and emerging biopharmaceutical modalities including monoclonal antibody-based therapeutics, gene therapy, cell therapy, peptides and oligonucleotides.
