"PrefaceThis volume contains the main proceedings of the 3rd Annual European Se-mantic Web Conference (ESWC 2006) held in Budva, Montenegro, June 11-14,2006. ESWC 2006 showcased the latest results in research and application of Se-mantic Web technologies – moving us closer to the vision of creating a machineinterpretable web.Following the success of the previous conferences, it ensured that only papers of thehighest quality were accepted. The final acceptance of 48 papers for publicationand presentation at the conference out of the 181 submissions resulted in anacceptance rate of 26%."
