Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics II is a collection of the best papers presented at the 2nd International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics (ICINCO). The purpose of ICINCO was to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the application of informatics to Control, Automation and Robotics.

Industrial Robots Programming focuses on designing and building robotic manufacturing cells, and explores the capabilities of today’s industrial equipment as well as the latest computer and software technologies. Industrial Project Management : Planning, Design, and Construction
This book describes – in a precise but practical way – the most recent principles and techniques of project management, at the highest international standards, with a fully company-wide, process-based, multi-project approach. It is unique because of the integration of project management fundamentals with the practices of international contracting, which characterize planning, design and construction of large works (such as plants and machinery) in the industrial sectors. The rigorous academic approach is mixed with the managerial contribution of Danieli, one of the largest worldwide suppliers of equipment and plants to the metals industry. In other words, industry must make profit. Manufacturing represents only one aspect of the activities of industrial management. Present-day manufacturing methodology does not consider making profit as their primary objective. The manufacturing process requires the knowledge of many disciplines, such as design, process planning, costing, marketing, sales, customer relations, costing, purchasing, bookkeeping, inventory control, material handling, shipping, and so on.

The 18th International Conference on Inductive Logic Programming was held in Prague, September 10–12, 2008. ILP returned to Prague after 11 years, and it is tempting to look at how the topics of interest have evolved during that time. The ILP community clearly continues to cherish its beloved ?rst-order logic representation framework. This is legitimate, as the work presented at ILP 2008 demonstrated that there is still room for both extending established ILP approaches (such as inverse entailment) and exploring novel logic induction frameworks (such as brave induction). Besides the topics lending ILP research its unique focus.

“Change is inevitable.” Embracing this quote we have tried to carefully exp- iment with the format of this conference, the 15th International Conference on Inductive Logic Programming, hopefully making it even better than it already was. But it will be up to you, the inquisitive reader of this book, to judge our success. The major changes comprised broadening the scope of the conference to include more diverse forms of non-propositional learning, to once again have tutorials on exciting new areas, and, for the ?rst time, to also have a discovery challenge as a platform for collaborative work. This year the conference was co-located with ICML 2005, the 22nd Inter- tional Conference on Machine Learning, and also in close proximity to IJCAI 2005, the 19th International Joint Conference on Arti?cial Intelligence. - location can be tricky, but we greatly bene?ted from the local support provided by Codrina Lauth, Michael May, and others. We were also able to invite all ILP and ICML participants to shared events including a poster session, an invited talk, and a tutorial about the exciting new area of “statistical relational lea- ing”. Two more invited talks were exclusively given to ILP participants and were presented as a kind of stock-taking—?ttingly so for the 15th event in a series—but also tried to provide a recipe for future endeavours.
Inductive Dependency Parsing

Ileo meccanico dell’intestino tenue : Aspetti TC e correlazioni eco-radiografiche = Mechanical ileus of the small intestine : CT aspects and echo-radiographic correlations
Mechanical occlusion of the small intestine is a frequently encountered clinical problem, whose clinical-instrumental management is made difficult by the complexity of the mechanisms responsible for the occlusive picture. The role of the radiologist is to promptly guide the therapeutic process on the basis of a correct interpretation of the iconographic pictures. The purpose of this volume - the only one of its kind - is to relate the pathophysiology of occlusion to imaging. The rich iconography, which ranges from clinical onset to resolution, emphasizes the role of multidetector computed tomography with intravenous contrast, which is the current gold standard. However, the correlations with the echo-radiographic methods are not forgotten, which retain an effective diagnostic role, with a low biological and economic cost. The mechanical ileus of the small intestine is a striking example in support of the dream of many professionals: that, that is, to have a figure of a fine abdominal emergency radiologist, an expert in organ and disease and not only in the machine, as often unfortunately it happens.
