Augmented reality, virtual reality, and computer graphics ; 7th International conference, AVR 2020, Lecce, Italy, September 7–10, 2020, Proceedings, Part I

he 2-volume set LNCS 12242 and 12243 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Computer Graphics, AVR 2020, held in Lecce, Italy, in September 2020.* The 45 full papers and 14 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 99 submissions. The papers discuss key issues, approaches, ideas, open problems, innovative applications and trends in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, 3D reconstruction visualization, and applications in the areas of cultural heritage, medicine, education, and industry.

The prevention of the most frequent and deadly pathologies (cancers, cardiovascular diseases, accidents) essentially involves modifying risky behavior, a challenge which cannot be resolved by the simple dissemination of information. To be able to modify behavior, it is necessary to take into account, on the one hand, the individuals themselves and what leads them to change their ways of living and, on the other hand, the cultural, social, physical and economic environment. who shapes people and whose modifications are necessary for individual changes. Thus, preventive health actions are effective as long as they strengthen the ability to exercise control over individual and collective health determinants.

Atopic dermatitis is a complex disease that arises from interactions between genes and the environment. There are 3 classical stages of eczema: infantile, childhood, and adulthood. In this research, we studied several cases of patients with eczema, We have also developed a nano-biological therapy that is currently being tested on patients

Atmospheric Aerosol Properties : Formation, Processes and Impacts

An increasing interest in studies of atmospheric aerosols in the context of their impact on the formation of climate, heterogeneous chemical reactions in the atmosphere affecting in particular the environmental quality, problems of visibility and human health is the cause of unusual scales of developments connected with studies of atmospheric aerosols. The necessity has arisen to analyze the latest results concerning, first of all, three aspects of the problems considered: 1. aerosol properties from data of complex field observational experiment; 2. processes of aerosol formation and interaction of aerosol with clouds, 3. aerosol as a climate-forming atmospheric component (including the problem of long-range transport). The monograph in hand is dedicated mainly to the problems of the impact of aerosol on climate processes in the atmosphere, from microphysical processes of formation and evolution of aerosol properties to the formation of macro-scale cloud sytems on aerosol particles.

Atmosphere and Climate : Studies by Occultation Methods

In this book we focus on sensors on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, which exploit solar, lunar, stellar, GNSS (Global Navi- tion Satellite Systems), and LEO-crosslink signals for observing the Earth's - mosphere and climate. The methods all share the key properties of self-calibration, high accuracy and vertical resolution, global coverage, and (if using radio signals) all-weather ca- bility. The atmospheric parameters obtained extend from the fundamental va- ables temperature, density, pressure and water vapor via trace gases, aerosols and cloud liquid water to ionospheric electron density. Occultation data are therefore of high value in a wide range of fields including climate monitoring and research, atmospheric physics and chemistry, operational meteorology, and ionospheric physics.

Atlas effectors of anti-tumor immunity

The “Atlas Effectors of Anti-Tumor Immunity” is a unique scientific publication, which includes major issues of up-to-date information about immunophenotype, morphology and function of main effectors of anti-tumor immunity presented in a reasonable format. The Atlas comprises a large number of illustrations presented by schemes and original micrographs demonstrating morphological features and ultrastructure of immunocompetent cells at various stages of differentiation. Assessment of the fate and effects of toxic agents on water resources

Like all limited and vulnerable resources, water has become one of the potential targets of terrorists. Coastal lagoons are especially vulnerable as they are densely populated centers of commerce and/or tourism. This volume addresses the basic scientific concepts that must be integrated by decisionmakers to minimize damages and optimize recovery operations in the aftermath of such an attack. Scientists from many disciplines including water resource management, hydrodynamics, aquatic ecology and social science combine their expertise in an effort to assess and model emergency scenarios for coastal lagoon systems. Assessment and remediation of contaminated sediments

Contaminated sediments pose some of the most difficult site remediation issues. Contaminated sediments typically reside in spatially variable and dynamic systems subject to seasonal flow variations and episodic storm events. The volume of sediments that must be managed at particular sites often exceeds one million cubic meters, dwarfing many contaminated soil sites. These sediments are also associated with equally daunting volumes of water and efforts to remove the contamination typically entrains even more water. The environmental security of both NATO and partner countries is at risk due to the pervasive nature of sediment contamination of rivers, lakes and harbors. A NATO Advanced Research Workshop was convened in Bratislava in May 2005 to discuss current approaches to managing contaminated sediments and to identify research necessary to overcome outstanding problems.
