This book constitutes the proceedings of the the 11th Pacific Rim International Conference on Multi-Agents, PRIMA 2008, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, in December 2008.The 19 regular papers and 22 short papers presented together with 3 keynote speeches, were carefully reviewed and selected from 56 submissions. Many current subjects in multi-agent research and development are addressed, ranging from theoretical and methodological issues to various applications in different fields. There was a track on multi-issue negotiation and agents and HCI.

International Federation for Information Processing The IFIP series publishes state-of-the-art results in the sciences and technologies of information and communication. Proceedings and post-proceedings of referred international conferences in computer science and interdisciplinary fields are featured. The principal aim of the IFIP series is to encourage education and the dissemination and exchange of information about all aspects of computing.

Intelligence and security informatics (ISI) can be broadly defined as the study of the development and use of advanced information technologies and systems for national and international security-related applications, through an integrated technological, organizational, and policy-based approach. In the past few years, ISI research has experienced tremendous growth and attracted substantial interest from academic researchers in related fields as well as practitioners from both government agencies and industry. The first two meetings (ISI 2003 and ISI 2004) in the ISI symposium and conference series were held in Tucson, Arizona, in 2003 and 2004, respectively. They provided a stimulating intellectual forum for discussion among previously disparate communities: academic researchers in information technologies, computer science, public policy, and social studies; local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence experts; and information technology industry consultants and practitioners.
Intellectual Property in the Global Trading System : EU-China Perspective
Having explored multifaceted issues of IPR enforcement, this book argues that IPR enforcement problem is not an actual outcome of Confucian philosophy and "to steal a book" is not an "elegant offence." Currently the necessary information exists in a multitude of forms and formats geographically and physically scattered over different countries, institutes and organisations, and are subject to widely different data policies and management schemes. Moreover, there is no complete and updated overview of the existing information, e.g. in the form of a metadata catalogue. As a result, integration of this information in case of emergencies has proven to be extremely difficult, if not impossible. Although in some cases, interesting and impressive "demonstrations" have been shown of the possibilities of the integration of information, for a number of reasons these have reached the "operational" stage.

IFM 2002 explored the relations between formal methods and graphical notations, especially the industrial standard language for software design, the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The themes of IFM 2002 reflect what we believe is a growing trend in the Formal Methods and Software Engineering research communities. Over the last threedecades,computer scientists have developed a range of formalisms focusing on particular aspects of behavior or analysis, such as sequential program structures, concurrent program structures, data and information structures, temporal reasoning, deductive proof, and model checking. Much effort is now being devoted to integrating these methods in order to combine their advantages and ensure they scale up to industrial needs. Integrated Circuit Packaging, Assembly and Interconnections is intended as a multi-purpose text, serving individuals looking for an introduction, or a review, or an update of the various IC packaging, assembly, and interconnection technologies. Welcome to the proceedings of PATMOS 2006, the 16th in a series of international workshops. PATMOS 2006 was organized by LIRMM with CAS technical - sponsorship and CEDA sponsorship. Over the years, the PATMOS workshop has evolved into an important European event, where researchers from both industry and academia discuss and investigate the emerging challenges in future and contemporary applications, design methodologies, and tools required for the development of upcoming generations of integrated circuits and systems. The technical program of PATMOS 2006 contained state-of-the-art technical contributions, three invited talks, a special session on hearing-aid design, and an embedded tutorial. The technical program focused on timing, performance and power consumption, as well as architectural aspects with particular emphasis on modeling, design, characterization, analysis and optimization in the nanometer era. The Technical Program Committee, with the assistance of additional expert reviewers, selected the 64 papers presented at PATMOS. The papers were organized into 11 technical sessions and 3 poster sessions. As is always the case with the PATMOS workshops, full papers were required, and several reviews were received per manuscript.
