Deep learning methods for converting speech to text = تقنيات التعلم العميق في تحويل الصوت إلى نص
Aims to design and develop a system capable of extracting audio content from films and audio recordings and converting it into text using deep learning techniques. This is done by analyzing audio patterns, extracting sounds and words from the video, and then converting them into written text. Deep learning, a branch of artificial intelligence, is used to accomplish this task. The study also includes comparing different deep learning techniques to determine their effectiveness in this context.

Deduction, Computation, Experiment : Exploring the Effectiveness of Proof
What is a proof for? What is the characteristic use of a proof as a computation, as opposed to its use as an experiment? What is the relationship between mathematical procedures and natural processes? The essays collected in this volume address such questions from different points of view and will interest students and scholars in several branches of scientific knowledge. Some essays deal with the logical skeleton of deduction, others examine the interplay between natural systems and models of computation, yet others use significant results from the natural sciences to illustrate the character of procedures in applied mathematics. Focusing on relevant conceptual and logical issues underlying the overall quest for proving, the volume seeks to cast light on what the effectiveness of proof rests on.
Deciphering Growth
Growth is a complex process that is essential to life. Not only does size play an important role in the process of cellular proliferation, but body size is also a critical factor in determining which organisms live longer. In mammals, the major factors involved in the regulation of body growth are known. The combined knowledge concerning the endocrine and paracrine aspects of growth have led to the introduction of treatment regimens, most effective in GH-deficient children.

Database performance at scale: a practical guide
Optimizing database performance at the scale required for today’s data-intensive applications often requires more than performance tuning and scaling out. This book shares commonly overlooked considerations, pitfalls, and opportunities that have helped many teams break through database performance plateaus. It’s neither a definitive guide to distributed databases nor a beginner’s resource. Rather, it’s a look at the many different factors that impact performance, and our top field-tested recommendations for navigating them. Chapter 1 provides two (fun and fanciful) tales that surface some of the many roadblocks you might face and highlight the range of strategies for navigating around them.
Data structures and algorithm : Analysis in C++
An advanced algorithms book that bridges the gap between traditional CS2 and Algorithms Analysis courses. As the speed and power of computers increases, so does the need for effective programming and algorithm analysis. By approaching these skills in tandem, Mark Allen Weiss teaches readers to develop well-constructed, maximally efficient programs using the C++ programming language
Data security : Technical and organizational protection measures against data loss and computer Crime
Offers an easy-to understand introduction to technical and organizational data security. It provides an insight into the technical knowledge that is mandatory for data protection officers. Data security is an inseparable part of data protection, which is becoming more and more important in our society. It can only be implemented effectively if there is an understanding of technical interrelationships and threats.
Data parallel C++programming accelerated systems using C++ and SYCL
Full of practical advice, detailed explanations, and code examples to illustrate key topics. SYCL enables access to parallel resources in modern accelerated heterogeneous systems. Now, a single C++ application can use any combination of devices–including GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, and ASICs–that are suitable to the problems at hand. This book teaches data-parallel programming using C++ with SYCL and walks through everything needed to program accelerated systems. The book begins by introducing data parallelism and foundational topics for effective use of SYCL. Later chapters cover advanced topics, including error handling, hardware-specific programming, communication and synchronization, and memory model considerations.

The book begins by introducing data parallelism and foundational topics for effective use of SYCL and Data Parallel C++ (DPC++), the open source compiler used in this book.
Data Monitoring in Clinical Trials : A Case Studies Approach
Randomized clinical trials are the gold standard for establishing many clinical practice guidelines and are central to evidence based medicine. Obtaining the best evidence through clinical trials must be done within the boundaries of rigorous science and ethical principles. One fundamental principle is that trials should not continue longer than necessary to reach their objectives. Therefore, trials must be monitored for recruitment progress, quality of data, adherence to patient care or prevention standards, and early evidence of benefit or harm. Frequently, a group of external experts, independent from the investigators and trial sponsor, is charged with this monitoring responsibility, especially for safety and early benefit. This group is referred to by various names, such as a data monitoring committee or a data and safety monitoring board. This book, through a series of case studies presented by many distinguished clinical trial experts, illustrates the complexity of this monitoring process. No other text has as extensive a collection of cases which provide insight into the many issues, often conflicting, that must be examined before recommendations to continue or discontinue a trial can be made. While depth in statistical methods is not required, some familiarity with statistical design and analysis issues in clinical trials is helpful. The cases cover trials which were terminated early for convincing evidence of benefit, or for harmful effects. Cases with complex issues are also included. This series of cases should provide broad background information for potential monitoring committee members and better prepare them for the challenges that may exist in the trials for which they are responsible.
