One page of each pair provides a text containing the key information, the other page shows a color illustration. This is the most comprehensive textbook on NMR to date.
Essential Issues in SOC Design : Designing Complex Systems-on-Chip
SOC design is fast becoming the key area of focus that engineers and researchers from the Electronic Design Automation field are focusing on in their quest to further develop Integrated Circuit technology. The more systems and even networks that we can integrate on one piece of silicon, the faster, cheaper, more powerful and efficient the technology will become. Essential Issues in SOC Design contains valuable academic and industrial examples for those involved with the design of complex SOCs, all contributors are selected from a region of the world that is generally known to lead the "SOC-Revolution", namely Asia.

Essential echocardiography : A practical guide
A Practical Handbook serves as today's premier practical guide to the understanding of the most commonly used cardiac imaging technique in the world. The perfect marriage between anatomy and physiology, the text covers emerging cardiac imaging technologies, advances in ultrasound technology, as well as new techniques and applications of cardiac ultrasound. Essential Echocardiography: A Practical Handbook provides the physiological, anatomical, and diagnostic grounding for all students of cardiac ultrasound, as well as a sound basis for a more general understanding of cardiac imaging.
Essential Cases on Natural Causation
This first volume covers one key aspect of tortious liability – natural causation. The conditio sine qua non rule is examined and tested throughout all jurisdictions, in particular with an eye on whether and to what extent courts are willing to deviate from the strict concept of this formula.
Essential Cardiology : Principles and Practice
The ideal textbook of cardiology lies between the very detailed and enormous encyclopedias of cardiology and the diminutive manuals and handbooks that provide a quick but superficial tour of the field. Clive Rosendorff, md, phd, and a panel of researchers and clinician-scientists, who are all leaders in their fields, create such a text with their second edition of Essential Cardiology: Principles and Practice. Drawing on years of practical experience, as well as the enormous number of recent scientific and clinical advances.
Essays on Transport Economics
This book covers the basic analytical methods used in transportation economics and policy analysis. Encompassing fields of economics such as Industrial Organisation, Welfare Economics, General Equilibrium Theory and Input-Output-Analysis.
Essays on congruence theory in marketing : Special focus on digital products and webstores
Digital products are intangible goods, mainly presented visually and acoustically to consumers in the form of videos, images, texts, and music that can be bought, downloaded, or streamed via various web stores. Their consumption primarily fulfills hedonic needs. Before purchasing, a consumer's interaction with a digital product is always mediated by technology. Therefore, consumers cannot directly judge the quality through "touch and feel" experiences.
Essays on Accounting Theory in Honour of Joel S. Demski
This rigorous scholarly work focuses on the analysis of corporate accounting reports as a source of information used in corporate decision-making and in pricing securities by the capital market.
Essays in Honor of Edwin Mansfield: The Economics of R&D, Innovation, and Technological Change
As appreciation and remembrance for his scholarly contributions, eminent scholars have contributed original papers for this edited volume. The authors have followed the "Mansfieldian” approach of emphasizing economic insight and intuition over mathematical rigor and as a result are very accessable.
Essays in Dynamic General Equilibrium Theory: Festschrift for David Cass
This collection of essays including the study of dynamic general equilibrium, the concept of sunspot equilibria, and general equilibrium theory when markets are incomplete.
Essays in Constructive Mathematics
This book aims to promote constructive mathematics, not by defining it or formalizing it, but by practicing it, by basing all definitions and proofs on finite algorithms. The topics covered derive from classic works of nineteenth century mathematics---among them Galois' theory of algebraic equations, Gauss's theory of binary quadratic forms and Abel's theorem about integrals of rational differentials on algebraic curves. It is not surprising that the first two topics can be treated constructively---although the constructive treatments shed a surprising amount of light on them---but the last topic, involving integrals and differentials as it does, might seem to call for infinite processes. In this case too, however, finite algorithms suffice to define the genus of an algebraic curve, to prove that birationally equivalent curves have the same genus, and to prove the Riemann-Roch theorem. The main algorithm in this case is Newton's polygon, which is given a full treatment. Other topics covered include the fundamental theorem of algebra, the factorization of polynomials over an algebraic number field, and the spectral theorem for symmetric matrices.
Essays in Brewing Science
Essays in Brewing Science is an original and comprehensive examination of brewing from the perspective of a real brewer. Brewing texts generally use a sequential barley-beer-bottle organization that takes the reader systematically through the various stages of beer-making in a logical and informative way. This approach adequately communicates the essential operation. However, brewers think about all of the stages in the process that might affect a single property, such as beer color. Alternatively brewers might ponder the influence of such affective agents as modification or oxygen throughout the process.
Essays and Surveys in Global Optimization
Global optimization aims at solving the most general problems of deterministic mathematical programming: to find the global optimum of a nonlinear, nonconvex, multivariate function of continuous and/or integer variables subject to constraints which may be themselves nonlinear and nonconvex. In addition, once the solutions are found, proof of its optimality is also expected from this methodology. Therefore, with these difficulties in mind, global optimization is becoming an increasingly powerful and important methodology. Essays and Surveys in Global Optimization is the most recent examination of its mathematical capability, power, and wide ranging solutions to many fields in the applied sciences.
ESR Spectroscopy in Membrane Biophysics
Membrane proteins offer the greatest challenge in structural biology, and there is an urgent need to develop and apply new biophysical methodologies that are able to generate detailed structural information. Among modern biophysical techniques, site-directed spin-labeling electron spin resonance (SDSL-ESR) appears to show the highest potential to further develop the field. The objective of this book is to provide in-depth information about new advances of SDSL-ESR in membrane biophysics, emphasizing recent developments in the application to membrane proteins.
