Il Parlagioco nasce da un'esperienza riabilitativa con un bambino autistico, il cui linguaggio aveva bisogno di regole comunicative. Per questo è stato creato un gioco di carte per realizzare uno scambio interattivo attraverso il desiderio di comunicare giocando. Il Parlagioco è servito anche a ridurre l'iperselettività tipica dell'autismo, orientando l'attenzione del bambino verso gli elementi esaustivi, ignorando i dettagli insignificanti allo scopo di cogliere i nessi di un insieme necessari a una comprensione globale. Da questa esperienza il Parlagioco è stato ulteriormente sviluppato per promuovere la pragmatica della comunicazione e le regole del linguaggio in ambito clinico. La sua applicazione nei disturbi specifici del linguaggio permette di ampliare il lessico, la comprensione di nuovi vocaboli e la produzione di richieste. Quando il disturbo del linguaggio è invece associato a ritardo mentale nelle malattie genetiche o neurologiche, esso consente delle facilitazioni nel proporre compiti specifici di riabilitazione linguistica. La presentazione grafica allettante e la proposta ludica fannno si' che esso sia facilmente applicabile anche in ambito scolastico e familiare.
ICP design methods for driven piles in sands and clays
While axial capacity is often the governing design criterion with driven piles, the reliability of predictions made by conventional procedures is generally poor. A long-term research program run at Imperial College London in conjunction with Industry, the UK's Health and Safety Executive and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council led to the new design recommendations published by Jardine and Chow in 1996. Their procedures offered considerable improvements and have been applied worldwide in many offshore, marine and onshore projects.

The 2005 International Conference “Hydrogen Materials Science and Chemistry of Carbon Nanomaterials” (ICHMS’2005) was held in September 5-11, 2005 in the remarkable city Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine) known for its heroic and unusual th fate. The selection of papers for HM 2006 consolidated some of the mainstream issues that have emerged from the past editions. Firstly, there are prominent examples of e?ective hybrid techniques whose design and implementation were motivated by challenging real-world applications. We believe this is particularly important for two reasons: on the one hand, researchers are conscious that the primary goal of developing algorithms is to solve relevant real-life problems; on the other hand, the path towarde?cient solving methods for practical problems is a source of new outstanding ideas and theories. A second important issue is that the research community on metaheur- tics has become increasingly interested in and open to techniques and methods known from arti?cial intelligence (AI) and operations research (OR). So far, the most representative examples of such integration have been the use of AI/OR techniques as subordinates of metaheuristic methods. As a historical and - ymological note, this is in perfect accordance with the original meaning of a metaheuristic as a “general strategy controlling a subordinate heuristic. ” The awareness of the need for a sound experimental methodology is a third keypoint.
