Chinese Computational Linguistics ; 19th China National Conference, CCL 2020, Hainan, China, October 30 – November 1, 2020, Proceedings
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 19th China National Conference on Computational Linguistics, CCL 2020, held in Hainan, China, in October/November 2020. The 32 full and 2 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 99 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: fundamental theory and methods of computational linguistics; information retrieval, dialogue and question answering; text generation and summarization; knowledge graph and information extraction; machine translation and multilingual information processing; minority language information processing; language resource and evaluation; social computing and sentiment analysis; and NLP applications.
Arabic talking heads
The need for someone to talk to about what is going on inside us while ensuring privacy has become a necessary requirement, especially since some people in our Arab societies judge people who visit a psychiatrist as mentally ill. Therefore, in this project, we propose a solution to the previous problem, where an Arabic-speaking robot, through an interactive chat application can mitigate the psychological and negative effects that humans are exposed to in various cases.
Arabic Computational Morphology : Knowledge-based and Empirical Methods
The morphology of Arabic poses special challenges to computational natural language processing systems. The exceptional degree of ambiguity in the writing system, the rich morphology, and the highly complex word formation process of roots and patterns all contribute to making computational approaches to Arabic very challenging. Indeed many computational linguists across the world have taken up this challenge over time, and many of the researchers with a track record in this research area have contributed to this book.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Natural Language Processing, FinTAL 2006, held in Turku, Finland in August 2006. The papers address all current issues in computational linguistics and monolingual and multilingual intelligent language processing - theory, methods and applications.
Accessing Multilingual Information Repositories ; 6th Workshop of the Cross-Language Evaluation Forum, CLEF 2005, Vienna, Austria, 21-23 September, 2005, Revised Selected Papers
The sixth campaign of the Cross Language Evaluation Forum (CLEF) for European languages was held from January to September 2005. CLEF is by now an established international evaluation initiative and 74 groups from all over the world submitted results for one or more of the different evaluation tracks in 2005, compared with 54 groups in 2004. There were eight distinct evaluation tracks, designed to test the performance of a wide range of systems for multilingual information access. Full details regarding the design of the tracks, the methodologies used for evaluation, and the results obtained by the participants can be found in the different sections of these proceedings.
