Micrometastasis
Distant metastases are the main cause of cancer-related death. The onset of the metastatic process can now be assessed in cancer patients by the use of immunocytochemical and molecular methods that allow the identification of disseminated carcinoma cells in regional lymph nodes, peripheral blood or distant organs. Methods and Tools for Drought Analysis and Management
Implementation of effective drought management policies requires both advanced technologies and appropriate methods. A high frequency transaction data set for the German equity market is the basis for Alexandra Hachmeister’s extensive empirical analysis. This includes a detailed market description of the German equity market, a new methodological approach for the identification of informed traders and finally the analysis of the individual liquidity providing and demanding behavior of the identified informed traders. Questioning the existing theoretical literature on liquidity provision in equity markets, she finds strong evidence for liquidity providing behavior of informed traders.

The 4 th Information Security Practice and Experience Conference (ISPEC2008) was held at Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia, during April 21-23, 2008. The previous three conferences were held in Singapore in 2005, Hangzhou, China in 2006 and Hong Kong, China in 2007. As with the previous three conference proceedings, the proceedings of ISPEC 2008 were published in the LNCS series by Springer. The conference received 95 submissions, out of which the Program Committee selected 29 papers for presentation at the conference. These papers are included in the proceedings. The accepted papers cover a range of topics in mathem- ics, computer science and security applications.
