Recent frontiers of phytochemicals : Applications in food, pharmacy, cosmetics and biotechnology
Phytochemicals have been present in human diet and life since the birth of mankind, including the consuming of plant foods and the application of herbal treatments. This coevolutionary interaction of plants and people has resulted in humans' reliance on food and medicinal plants as sources of macronutrients, micronutrients, and bioactive phytochemicals. Phytochemicals can be used as adjuvant agents and sensitizers in traditional antibiotic and anticancer therapy, reducing the potential of selecting resistant microbial strains and cancer cells. Recent Frontiers of Phytochemicals addresses the many processes of potential phytochemical evaluation of known sources, with a focus on phytochemical and pharmacological evaluations, and computational research into the structures and pharmacological mechanisms of natural products and their applications in medicine, food and biotech
Recent developments on money and finance : Exploring links between market frictions, financial systems and monetary allocations
The paper highlights how the interaction of domestic informational frictions, perfect capital mobility, and foreign interest rates can combine to provoke a sudden depreciation of the exchange rate and a prolonged decline in output. In particular, the authors describe conditions under which two differente quilibria exist. One has a high level of outputand a minorcostly-state-verificationproblem, and the other equilibrium has a higher level of output and a severe costly-state-verification problem.

Réarrangement Relatif : Un instrument d’estimations dans les problèmes aux limites = Relative Rearrangement : An estimation instrument in boundary problems
The objective of this book is to present a little known or even new method based on the concept of relative rearrangement which is the main subject of this book. To do this, we have developed properties of monotonic rearrangement, some of which are not found in any other work than in this book (except in reviews) such as Polyà-Szego inequalities or C_alpha-rearrangements. We study the regularity of the derivative of the monotonic rearrangement as well as the continuity of this derivative map.

From the data in digital images, mathematical models will be constructed. Then new systems which describe faithfully any two-dimensional or thr- dimensional digital images will be proposed.
Reading Breath in Literature
Presents five different approaches to reading breath in literature, in response to texts from a range of historical, geographical and cultural environments. Breath, for all its ubiquity in literary texts, has received little attention as a transhistorical literary device. Drawing together scholars of Medieval Romance, Early Modern Drama, Fin de Siècle Aesthetics, American Poetics and the Postcolonial Novel, this book offers the first transhistorical study of breath in literature. At the same time, it shows how the study of breath in literature can contribute to recent developments in the Medical Humanities.
Raspberry pi based vehicle starters on face detection and voice commands: “Smart Vehicle”
As the number of thefts and identity fraud has become a serious issue and with the increase of accidents rate, and the need for smart and flexible dealing with the vehicle becomes necessary, the idea of this project is born. Which aspire to develop a security access control application based on face recognition algorithms and which receives voice commands from the user to fulfill certain requests. Also, ensure that the eyes remain open while driving to avoid accidents. In addition, it stores all feelings and person’s data in the event of an accident and detects the car’s location. This all is done in an embedded device known as Raspberry Pi. The project has four modules, face recognition module, speech recognition module, accidents and emotions detection and sleepiness detection module.
Raisonnements divins : Quelques démonstrations mathématiques particulièrement élégantes = Divine reasoning: Some particularly elegant mathematical demonstrations
Brings together some mathematical demonstrations chosen for their elegance. It exposes brilliant ideas, unexpected connections and remarkable observations that shed new light on fundamental problems. According to the mathematician Paul Erdös, who himself suggested several of the themes presented, the proofs developed here deserve to be retained for inclusion in the Book where God would have listed the perfect demonstrations. Different fields are approached (number theory, geometry, analysis, combinatorics and graph theory) and the subject evokes both long established results and recently demonstrated theorems. In any case, their understanding requires only undergraduate level mathematical knowledge.

Quo Vadis Quantum Mechanics?
For more than a century, quantum mechanics has served as a very powerful theory that has expanded physics and technology far beyond their classical limits, yet it has also produced some of the most difficult paradoxes known to the human mind. This book represents the combined efforts of sixteen of today's most eminent theoretical physicists to lay out future directions for quantum physics. The authors include Yakir Aharonov, Anton Zeilinger; the Nobel laureates Anthony Leggett and Geradus 't Hooft; Basil Hiley, Lee Smolin and Henry Stapp. Following a foreword by Roger Penrose, the individual chapters address questions such as quantum non-locality, the measurement problem, quantum insights into relativity, cosmology and thermodynamics, and the possible bearing of quantum phenomena on biology and consciousness.
Questions in Daily Urologic Practice : Updates for Urologists and Diagnostic Pathologists
The principal role of the diagnostic surgical pathologist is to serve a patient by assisting the clinician in charge of the patient's care. In that capacity, the pathologist provides the vital informationthat should be directly and indirectly useful in guiding the clinician toward the most appropriate therapy. The material pathologists receive most commonly is a biopsy or a part of an organ removed after a definitive pro- dure. To extract useful information, pathological evaluation proceeds according to a set of guidelines. Simply reporting a diagnosis of cancer is inadequate. Detailed additional information is needed so that the clinician can go on to establish a the- peutic plan as needed. To best serve the patient, close interaction between the cli- cian and the pathologist is vital. In the field of urological pathology, there are problems specific to this system. Typically, in the prostate, because of its location, there is little room for a surgeon to work to obtain adequate resection margins, unlike with many other organs.

Quality Of Protection : Security Measurements and Metrics
Information security in the business setting has matured in the last few decades. Standards, such as IS017799, the Common Criteria’s, and a number of industry and academic certifications and risk analysis methodologies, have raised the bar on what is considered good security solution, from a business perspective. Yet, the evaluation of security solutions has largely a qualitative flavor. Notions such as Security Metrics, Quality of Protection (QoP) or Protection Level Agreement (PLA) have only surfaced in the literature. Quality of Protection: Security Measurements and Metrics is an edited volume based on the Quality of Protection Workshop at ESORICS 2005, the flagship European Symposium on Research in Computer Security. This book discusses how security research can progress towards a notion of quality of protection in security, comparable to the notion of quality of service in networking and software measurements and metrics, in empirical software engineering.
