Hydrogen Materials Science and Chemistry of Carbon Nanomaterials
The 2005 International Conference “Hydrogen Materials Science and Chemistry of Carbon Nanomaterials” (ICHMS’2005) was held in September 5-11, 2005 in the remarkable city Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine) known for its heroic and unusual th fate. In the tradition of the earlier ICHMS conferences, this 9 ICHMS’2005 meeting served as an multidisciplinary forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent research on transition to hydrogen-based energy systems, technologies for hydrogen production, storage, utilization, materials processing and chemical behavior, energy and environmental problems. The aim of ICHMS’2005 was to provide the wide overview of the latest scientific results on basic research and technological applications of hydrogen interactions with metals and other materials.
Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithms
Hybridization of evolutionary algorithms is getting popular due to their capabilities in handling several real world problems involving complexity, noisy environment, imprecision, uncertainty and vagueness. This edited volume is targeted to present the latest state-of-the-art methodologies in ’Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithms’. This book deals with the theoretical and methodological aspects, as well as various applications to many real world problems from science, technology, business or commerce. This volume comprises of 14 chapters including an introductory chapter giving the fundamental definitions and some important research challenges. Chapters were selected on the basis of fundamental ideas/concepts rather than the thoroughness of techniques deployed.

Human Exploitation and Biodiversity Conservation
The sustainable use of biodiversity is one of the three key objectives of the 1992 "Convention on Biological Diversity". To achieve this, sound conservation practice has to be recognized as beneficial and implemented by all who access, or use it – from subsistence farmers to skiers and pharmaceutical bioprospectors. At the same time, indigenous peoples necessarily utilize enormous numbers of plants, fungi, and fish, particularly for foods and medicines.
