Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information and Engineering Systems ; Vol.3681 : 9th International Conference, KES 2005, Melbourne, Australia, September 14-16, 2005, Proceedings, Part I
The KES conferences cover a wide range of intelligent systems topics. The broad focus of the conference series is the theory and applications of intelligent systems. From a pure research ?eld, intel- gent systems have advanced to the point where their abilities have been incorporated into many business and engineering application areas. KES 2005 provided a valuable mechanism for delegates to obtain an extensive view of the latest research into a range of intelligent-systems algorithms, tools and techniques. The conference also gave de- gates the chance to come into contact with those applying intelligent systems in diverse commercial areas. The combination of theory and practice represented a unique opp- tunity to gain an appreciation of the full spectrum of leading-edge intelligent-systems activity. The papers for KES 2005 were either submitted to invited sessions, chaired and organized by respected experts in their ?elds, or to a general session, managed by an extensive International Program Committee, or to the Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing (IIHMSP) Workshop, managed by an International Workshop Technical Committee.

Knowledge Processing with Interval and Soft Computing
In particular, these chapters cover computing techniques for interval linear systems of equations, interval matrix singular-value decomposition, interval function approximation, and decision making with statistical and graph-based data processing. To enable these applications, the book presents a standards-based object-oriented interval computing environment in C++.
Knowledge mining : Proceedings of the NEMIS 2004 final conference
The book presents results from the application of knowledge mining techniques in various sector of the academic and indystrial research. The results are increased scientific understanding along with improvements in research quality and value.
Knowledge Integration : The Practice of Knowledge Management in Small and Medium Enterprises
The ability to manage knowledge is relevant for millions of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that operate in high-tech environments. They strongly depend on external knowledge about customers, technologies, and competitors because, as opposed to large companies, they have limited internal knowledge resources and little power to control their business environments.
Knowledge graphs and big data processing
This book is part of the LAMBDA Project (Learning, Applying, Multiplying Big Data Analytics), funded by the European Union, GA No. 809965. Data Analytics involves applying algorithmic processes to derive insights.

Knowledge Discovery in Inductive Databases ; Vol.3933 ; 4th International Workshop, KDID 2005, Porto, Portugal, October 3, 2005, Revised Selected and Invited Papers
The 4th International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery in Inductive Databases (KDID 2005) was held in Porto, Portugal, on October 3, 2005 in conjunction with the 16th European Conference on Machine Learning and the 9th European Conference on Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases. Ever since the start of the ?eld of data mining, it has been realized that the integration of the database technology into knowledge discovery processes was a crucial issue. This vision has been formalized into the inductive database perspective introduced by T. Imielinski and H. Mannila (CACM 1996, 39(11)). The main idea is to consider knowledge discovery as an extended querying p- cess for which relevant query languages are to be speci?ed.
Knowledge Discovery in Inductive Databases ; Vol.3377 : 3rd International Workshop, KDID 2004, Pisa, Italy, September 20, 2004, Revised Selected and Invited Papers
Cnstitutes the thoroughly refereed joint postproceedings of the Third International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery in Inductive Databases, KDID 2004, held in Pisa, Italy in September 2004 in association with ECML/PKDD. This book presents nine revised full papers selected from 23 submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement together with one invited paper. Various current topics in knowledge discovery and data mining in the framework of inductive databases are addressed.

Knowledge discovery in databases : PKDD 2006 ; 10th European Conference on Principles and practice of knowledge discovery in databases, Berlin, Germany, September 18-22, 2006, Proceedings
The European Conference on Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases celebrates its tenth anniversary ; the first PKDD took place in 1997 in Trondheim, Norway. Over the years, the ECML/PKDD series has evolved into one of the largest and most selective international conferences in these areas, the only one that provides a common forum for the two closely related ?elds. In 2006, the 6th collocated ECML/PKDD took place during September 18-22, when the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin hosted the 17th European Conference on Machine Learning (ECML) and the 10th European Conference on Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (PKDD). The successful model of a hierarchical reviewing process that was introduced last year for the ECML/PKDD 2005 in Porto has been taken over in 2006.
