This collection of papers presented at the ENTER 2008 Conference represents cutting-edge research on the topic of “eTourism: The View from the Future”. This year's 50 full research papers cover topics such as: user-generated content, dynamic packaging, mobile applications, context-aware systems, technology adoption, and recommender systems. All papers have undergone a double blind peer review process; therefore, the proceedings represent once more the state of the art of IT and Tourism research.

The 14th ENTER Conference had the theme "Connecting Destinations: New Technologies, New Thinking, New Solutions." This focus reflects efforts to gather cutting-edge academic research and industry applications to address the challenges of ICT advances fostering a globally networked and connected village. The diverse studies including theoretical, empirical, experimental, case studies and policy, all address a myriad of topics, themes, disciplines and approaches, thereby ensuring that any reader will find several studies of interest to them. This year’s proceedings are comprised of 50 research papers that have been double – blind peer reviewed by at three reviewers and represent the global corpus of state-of-the art ICT Travel and Tourism research.

The key objectives of this premier conference in ICT in travel and tourism are the dissemination of research findings and strong interaction among researchers and practitioners. The conference theme this year is "eBusiness is here ? – what is next?" The future is being explored by researchers from all perspectives – papers examine the basic architectures and systems underlying how toursim information is provided and how the marketplace is responding. Trip advisory research is now moving from the speculative to the sophisticated reflecting the rapidly changing individual skill sets, motivations and goals of today's tourist while an emerging collection of work is investigating the growing phenomenon of collaboration and community-building. A close examiniation of the 51 research papers will reveal the full extent of marketing-oriented research and show how strong the link is between ICT developments per se and business adoption and use of the new technologies and systems.

Informatics Education – Supporting Computational Thinking contains papers presented at the Third International Conference on Informatics in Secondary Schools – Evolution and Perspective, ISSEP 2008, held in July 2008 in Torun, Poland. As with the proceedings of the two previous ISSEP conferences (2005 in Klag- furt, Austria, and 2006 in Vilnius, Lithuania), the papers presented in this volume address issues of informatics education transcending national boundaries and, the- fore, transcending differences in the various national legislation and organization of the educational system. This book offers a panorama of recent advances in the theory of infinite groups. It contains survey papers contributed by leading specialists in group theory and other areas of mathematics. Inference Control in Statistical Databases : From Theory to Practice
Inference control in statistical databases, also known as statistical disclosure limitation or statistical confidentiality, is about finding tradeoffs to the tension between the increasing societal need for accurate statistical data and the legal and ethical obligation to protect privacy of individuals and enterprises which are the source of data for producing statistics. Techniques used by intruders to make inferences compromising privacy increasingly draw on data mining, record linkage, knowledge discovery, and data analysis and thus statistical inference control becomes an integral part of computer science. This coherent state-of-the-art survey presents some of the most recent work in the field. The papers presented together with an introduction are organized in topical sections on tabular data protection, microdata protection, and software and user case studies.
