Biostatistics and microbiology : A survival manual
This book presents a step-by-step manner that eliminates the greatest obstacle to the learner, which is applying the many processes that comprise a statistical method. The author counters the fear of statistical methods by describing early in the book a step-by-step procedure to perform a statistical method - a process that we will term "the six-step procedure." All of the testing will be performed adhering to six well-defined steps, which will greatly simplify the statistical process. Each step in the sequence must be completed before moving on to the next step.
Biological Calcification : Normal and Pathological Processes in the Early Stages
This book follows a precursor volume devoted to biological calci?cation, - sued by the CRC Press, Boca Raton (Florida) in 1992. Several basic aspects of the calci?cation process were analyzed in it by outstanding authors who had unquestioned competence in their respective research areas. Its main aim was that of giving readers access to a series of papers which, even though they discussed divergent aspects of biological calci?cations drawn from the study of systems as different as vertebrate skeletons and mollusks, in vitro cultures and unicellular organisms, ectopic calci?cation and urinary stones, provided elements permitting a coherent approach to a comprehensive view of the calci?cation process in biological tissues.
Biological and artificial intelligence environments
The book reports the proceedings of the 15th Italian workshop on neural networks issued by the Italian Society on Neural Networks SIREN. The longevity recipe of this conference stands in three main points that normally renders the reading of these proceedings so interesting as appealing. 1. Finally, the book closes with a thorough bibliography, reaching from classic research results to very recent findings, providing many pointers for future research.Overall, this volume is ideally suited for a senior undergraduate or graduate course on bioinformatics, with a strong focus on its mathematical and computer science background.

Cancer is still a lethal disease despite the development of new effective therapies; therefore the purpose of our study was to improve the patient's outcome by looking for the best diagnostic tools, secondly to improve radiotherapy resistance since about 50% of all cancer patients are treated with it. The fir st par t of our study will be per formed in Alkhatib center and the selection of that hospital was upon its highly sensitive diagnostic tools, in which PET/ CT scan was playing a major role to improve survival as shown in few repor ts in our study, and it’s the only safe diagnostic tool for a per son who has a metal fragments after injury in the war which increased the number of such patients in our country dur ing the last decade. This diagnostic tool is based on FDGin which we can define the tumor by using sugar more than normal tissue.
