Drawing upon three key case studies and by employing theoretical ideas of Venturi and others, this book will provide an understanding of the role of anthromorphism and the relation and use of the human body with reference to selected architects and artists.
Approaches to the purification, analysis and characterization of antibody-based therapeutics
Provides the interested and informed reader with an overview of current approaches, strategies and considerations relating to the purification, analytics and characterization of therapeutic antibodies and related molecules. While there are obviously other books published in and around this subject area, they seem to be either older (c.a. year 2000 publication date) or are more limited in scope. The book will include an extensive bibliography of the published literature in the respective areas covered. It is not, however, intended to be a how-to methods book.

Apoptotic pathways as targets for novel therapies in cancer and other diseases
The book attempts to review, summarize, and speculate on the apoptotic pathways, how are they regulated and how targeted therapies are being used to treat a wide variety of diseases. Special emphasis is placed on cancer since new treatments either being developed or currently in the clinical setting are showing great promise to increase survival rates for cancer patients.
Aortic valve disease
Your heart has four valves to keep blood flowing in the direction. These valves include the mitral valve, tricuspid valve, pulmonary valve and aortic valve. Each valve has flaps (epiphysis or leaflets) that opens and close once during each heartbeat sometimes the valve do not open or close completely; this interferes with the flow of blood inside the heart, and may lead to impaired ability to pump blood to your body. In aortic valve disease, the aortic valve between the lower left chamber (left ventricle) and the primary artery that delivers blood from the heart to the body (the aorta) does not work completely. It may not close completely; This causes blood to leak back into the left ventricle (regurgitation), or possibly narrowing of the valve (stenosis).
Anti-Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody (ANCA) Associated Vasculitis

The expression refers to a group of diseases, characterized by destruction and inflammation of small vessels. Antibody-drug conjugates and cellular metabolic dynamics
Summarizes the related research achievements in Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and their cell metabolism kinetics. The book has three main parts. The first part describes the basic theory of ADCs, including the basic concept and structure of ADCs, and the relationship between the targets of ADCs and their specific functions. The second part mainly introduces the endocytosis and intracellular metabolism of ADCs, including the relationship between endocytosis and ADC activity, the endocytosis and intracellular transport of ADCs, the distribution and metabolism of ADC in vivo. Then it discusses the new formats and research technology of ADCs, including the application of miniaturized antibodies in ADC synthesis, novel carriers for ADC design, the technology and application of site-specific conjugation, and approaches for analyzing the drug: antibody ratio (DAR), the study of pharmacokinetics of ADCs.
Antibiotics as Anti-Inflammatory and Immunomodulatory Agents
Although the potential for immunomodulation has been recognized for many years there has been an explosion of data in this field with relevance especially to the treatment of chronic airway diseases. Most of the work in this field has been conducted by Japanese investigators but in the last decade there has been a body of work outside of Japan that supports and enhances these findings. During the last 30 years, face recognition and related problems such as face detection/tracking and facial expression recognition have attracted researchers from both the engineering and psychology communities. In addition, extensive research has been carried out to study hand and body gestures.
