Interfacing with C++ : Programming Real-World Applications
This book is for people who are interested in learning and exploring electronic interfacing as well as C++ programming in a practicable and enjoyable way. Readers will learn to program a PC to do real-world things - not simply number crunching and graphics. They will also master how to write programs that interact with real-world devices. The book and accompanying software incorporate simple and easy-to-understand projects such as digital-to-analog conversion, analog to digital conversion, DC and Stepper motor control, temperature and voltage measurement, PC-based timing, or basic data acquisition.

This innovative book opens a path to overcoming the crisis of management in the face of complexity. The systems approach on which this work is grounded enables the development of the new kind of intelligent organizations so urgently needed. Powerful models, grounded in organizational cybernetics and system dynamics
Intelligent Network Management and Control : Intelligent Security, Multi-criteria Optimization, Cloud Computing, Internet of Vehicles, Intelligent Radio
The management and control of networks can no longer be envisaged without the introduction of artificial intelligence at all stages. Deals with topical issues related mainly to intelligent security of computer networks, deployment of security services in SDN (software-defined networking), optimization of networks using artificial intelligence techniques and multi-criteria optimization methods for selecting networks in a heterogeneous environment. Focuses on selecting cloud computing services, intelligent unloading of calculations in the context of mobile cloud computing, intelligent resource management in a smart grid-cloud system for better energy efficiency, new architectures for the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), the application of artificial intelligence in cognitive radio networks and intelligent radio input to meet the on-road communication needs of autonomous vehicles.
Intelligent Mobile Robot Navigation
the book spans across different domains ranging from mobile robots to intelligent transportation systems, from automatic control to artificial intelligence.
Intelligent engineering systems and computational cybernetics
A further important component of machine intelligence is a kind of “structural uniformity” giving room and possibility to model arbitrary particular details a priori not specified and unknown.This idea is similar to the ready-to-wear industry, which introduced products, which can be slightly modified later on in contrast to tailor-made creations aiming at maximum accuracy from the beginning. These subsequent corrections can be carried out by machines automatically. This “learning ability” is a key element of machine intelligence.The past decade confirmed that the view of typical components of the present soft computing as fuzzy logic, neural computing.

These ISI conferences brought together academic researchers, law enforcement and intelligence experts, information technology consultants and practitioners to discuss their research and practice related to various ISI topics including ISI data management, data and text mining for ISI applications, terrorism informatics, deception detection, terrorist and criminal social network analysis, crime analysis, monitoring and surveillance, policy studies and evaluation, and information assurance, among others. We continued these stream of ISI conferences by organizing the Workshop on Intelligence and Security Informatics (WISI 2006) in conjunction with the Pacific Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD 2006).
Intelligence and security informatics ; Vol. 3495 : IEEE International Conference on Intelligence and Security Informatics, ISI 2005, Atlanta, GA, USA, May 19-20, 2005, Proceedings
Intelligence and security informatics (ISI) can be broadly defined as the study of the development and use of advanced information technologies and systems for national and international security-related applications, through an integrated technological, organizational, and policy-based approach. In the past few years, ISI research has experienced tremendous growth and attracted substantial interest from academic researchers in related fields as well as practitioners from both government agencies and industry. The first two meetings (ISI 2003 and ISI 2004) in the ISI symposium and conference series were held in Tucson, Arizona, in 2003 and 2004, respectively. They provided a stimulating intellectual forum for discussion among previously disparate communities: academic researchers in information technologies, computer science, public policy, and social studies; local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence experts; and information technology industry consultants and practitioners.
