New advances in audio signal processing
In the era of digitalization, audio signal processing is gaining peculiar relevance as an automation and remote analysis means, also considering its enhancement by novel artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. This Reprint aims to offer an overview of the current developments in all fields that revolve around audio processing: from advancements in the acoustic domain to deep learning architectures for the audio-based analysis of real-world problems such as pitch detection or pathology identification.

Instrumaster
Experiments with different neural network structures and algorithms in order to achieve musical note recognition as well as musical instrument recognition, all bundled in a mobile application. It also aims to create the most effective music-learning application that works completely offline, which is hard to find in modern music applications. The paper also explores why the instrument identifying AI is solely based on Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and why the note-identifying AI system was chosen to be a ML system over CNN or other deep-learning trained AI. The paper presents feature extraction methods for audio signals and files and dives deep into the process, such as FFT, MFCCs, Wavelengths, sampling rates, etc. It also touches on Logistic Regression Algorithms, their limitations, and their performance with the different use cases in the application. All these techniques are then compared side by side for maximally added value, making this research paper a good reference for any future developers looking to find optimal neural networks techniques when it comes to audio processing and analysis.

Anomaly Detection : Techniques and Applications
When information in the data warehouse is processed, it follows a definite pattern. An unexpected deviation in the data pattern from the usual behavior is called an anomaly. The anomaly in the data is also referred to as noise, outlier, spammer, deviations, novelties and exceptions. Identification of the rare items, events, observations, patterns which raise suspension by differing significantly from the majority of data is called anomaly detection. With progress in the technologies and the widespread use of data for the purpose for business the increase in the spams faced by the individuals and the companies are increasing day by day. This noisy data has boomed as a major problem in various areas such as Internet of Things, web service, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep learning, Image Processing, Cloud Computing, Audio processing, Video Processing, VoIP, Data Science, Wireless Sensor etc. Identifying the anomaly data and filtering them before processing is a major challenge for the data analyst. PCM 2006 again brought together researchers, developers, practitioners, and educators in the ?eld of multimedia from around the world. Both theoretical breakthroughs and practical systems were presented at the conference. There were sessions from multimedia retrieval to multimedia coding to multimedia security,coveringa wide spectrum of multimedia research. We received 755 submissions and the number was the largest among all the PCMs.the additional reviewers who generously spent many hours. The many useful comments provided by the reviewing process are very useful to authors’ current and future research.
