This paper reports a simple case study of extracting the two types of such hierarchies from formal texts of traffic code. Problems of concurrent use of both hierarchies for ontology reasoning are dis-cussed, particularly, in context of the different views on geospatial ontologies.
Geometric Algebra for Computer Graphics
The first five chapters review the algebras of real numbers, complex numbers, vectors, and quaternions and their associated axioms, together with the geometric conventions employed in analytical geometry. As well as putting geometric algebra into its historical context, John Vince provides chapters on Grassmann’s outer product and Clifford’s geometric product, followed by the application of geometric algebra to reflections, rotations, lines, planes and their intersection. Future Interaction Design
In 1969 Herbert Simon wrote a book, The Science of the Artificial, in which he argued that cognitive science should have its area of application in the design of devices. He proposed the foundation of a science of the artificial related with cognitive science in the sense in which we have traditionally understood the relationship between the engineering disciplines and the basic sciences. Such a science has been called cognitive ergonomics or cognitive engineering (Norman 1986). Simon’s cognitive ergonomics (1969), would be independent of cognitive science, its basic science, although both would be closely related. Cognitive science would contribute knowledge on human cognitive processes, and cognitive ergonomics would contribute concrete problems of design that should be solved in the context of the creation of devices. Norman (1986), the author that coined the term cognitive engineering, conceived it as an applied cognitive science where the knowledge of cognitive science is combined with that of engineering to solve design problems. According to Norman, its objectives would be: (1) to understand the fundamental principles of human actions important for the development of the engineering of design principles, and (2) to build systems that are pleasant in their use.

Foundation models for natural language processing : pre-trained language models integrating media
Covers basic natural language processing models, pre-trained language models BERT, GPT, and sequence-to-sequence converters, as well as the concepts of self-attention and context-sensitive embedding. Various approaches to improving these models are then discussed, such as expanding the pre-training parameters, increasing the length of input texts, or incorporating additional knowledge. An overview of the best performing models is then provided for about twenty application areas, e.g., question answering, translation, story generation, dialogue systems, image generation from text, etc. For each application area, the strengths and weaknesses of existing models are discussed, and an overview of further developments is provided. In addition, links to freely available code are provided. The concluding chapter summarizes the economic opportunities, risk mitigation, and potential developments of AI.

The 9th International Conference on Financial Cryptography and Data Security (FC 2005) was held in the Commonwealth of Dominica from February 28 to March 3, 2005. This conference, organized by the International Financial Cryptography Association (IFCA), continues to be the premier international forum for research, exploration, and debate regarding security in the context of finance and commerce. The conference title and scope was expanded this year to cover all aspects of securing transactions and systems. The goal is to build an interdisciplinary meeting, bringing together cryptographers, data-security specialists, business and economy researchers, as well as economists, IT professionals, implementers, and policy makers. We think that this goal was met this year. The conference received 90 submissions and 24 papers were accepted, 22 in the Research track and 2 in the Systems and Applications track. In addition, the conference featured two distinguished invited speakers, Bezalel Gavish and Lynne Coventry, and two interesting panel sessions, one on phishing and the other on economics and information security. Also, for the first time, some of the papers that were judged to be very strong but did not make the final program were selected for special invitation to our Works in Progress (Rump) Session that took place on Wednesday evening.

Using Natural Language Processing via Deep Learning, we will attempt to implement a context-sensitive spelling error correction system focused on casual text messaging. For example, usual autocorrect systems will not correct a sentence like “An apple is better than a banana” as this is a syntactically correct sentence. However, a correction should be made here to the word “then” and the sentence should be, “An apple is better than a banana.” These types of mistakes are common in people texting and can be found for example in people learning English as a second language. Natural Language Processing can be summarized as combining the utilization of computation to understand the concepts of natural language and speech.
