The acts of aggression and violence are criminal acts as old as history and humanity, so the heavenly laws came to respond to these attacks and consider them sanctities that may not be transgressed upon, and then the states began to develop laws that regulate the relations between all members of society, and despite all that religious and legal texts these attacks did not stop, not even forms of violence, and the most prominent form of violence in societies is violence against women, which is a very common phenomenon, whether physical, psychological, or sexual violence or abuse. Women’s legal rights have always been preserved in Islam against all forms of violence. Both in the Qur’an and Sunnah Legislators in most countries of the world have also resorted to intervention and imposing many laws, measures, guarantees and controls in order to protect women against any violence or aggression practiced against them by men or society, and this is what reason and humanity dictate. In addition, international efforts have been combined to develop provisions for criminal protection of women and to include them in the body of international agreements in order to combat all forms of discrimination against women, through a clear statement of the rights of women in those countries and their societies, whether inside or outside the family. Likewise, both the Syrian and Algerian legislators did not neglect the imposition of penal protection for women in the Penal Code and the protection of their legal rights in the Personal Status Law, but rather strengthened that protection through successive amendments in the law regarding acts committed by or against women, taking into account the privacy of women and their physical and psychological nature. Fairness, honor and respect for her in her family and society in terms of science and practice, and attention to her issues, as violence does not depart from being a violation of human.
