Mr. Adham Kassam

Mr. Adham Kassam

Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Damascus, and the Arab International University, with academic and artistic experience in the fields of drawing, Arabic calligraphy, visual communication, and graphic design. He began his academic career after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Visual Communication, before pursuing his postgraduate studies and earning a Master's degree with a research thesis on the employment of graphic art in visual design. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Damascus.

Alongside his academic work, he has provided extensive experience in art education through teaching at several educational institutions, including the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus and the Arab International University. He has also taught Arabic calligraphy at private institutes and taught drawing at cultural forums, in addition to his ongoing activity as an independent instructor since 2014, which has allowed him to engage directly with diverse groups of students and amateurs.

He possesses a rich artistic record, including participation in exhibitions and forums in Syria, among them the "Syrian Spring for Youth" exhibitions at Art Form Gallery, and joint exhibitions with artists and professors from the Faculty of Fine Arts, in addition to his participation in specialized workshops such as the video art workshop "My Picture of Damascus" with a Dutch team. His works range across drawing, abstraction, Arabic calligraphy, and video arts, with a particular interest in the relationship between the Arabic letter and spatial space.
