Building an automated exam system

The project aims to build an automated exam for various exams, fields and institutions, and we have adopted in our project the National Exam for Informatics Engineering. The system builds an automatic exam that facilitates the conduct of exams and their correction automatically. The flutter application was developed to provide a user interface for students and a web page to control the system for teachers and Admins. Laravel will be used as the application programming interface (API) to manage the data and functions of the system. The system builds an automated exam for various specializations to make it easier for students to test their information and their readiness to take the official exam.

Building a Data Warehouse : With Examples in SQL Server

The book is organized as follows. In the beginning of this book (chapters 1 through 6), you learn how to build a data warehouse, for example, defining the architecture, understanding the methodology, gathering the requirements, designing the data models, and creating the databases. Then in chapters 7 through 10, you learn how to populate the data warehouse, for example, extracting from source systems, loading the data stores, maintaining data quality, and utilizing the metadata. After you populate the data warehouse, in chapters 11 through 15, you explore how to present data to users using reports and multidimensional databases and how to use the data in the data warehouse for business intelligence, customer relationship management, and other purposes. Chapters 16 and 17 wrap up the book: After you have built your data warehouse, before it can be released to production, you need to test it thoroughly. After your application is in production, you need to understand how to administer data warehouse operation.

Brain thoughts recognition

Humans controlling machines with their minds may sound like something from a scifi movie, but it’s becoming a reality through brain-computer interfaces BCI. Where BCI technology allows a human brain and an external device to talk to each other—to exchange signals. It gives humans the ability to directly control machines, without the physical constraints of the body. There are two ways to implement the BCI: Noninvasive tools often use sensors applied on or near the head to track and record brain activity, or Invasive BCI would require surgery. Electronic devices would need to be implanted beneath the skull, directly into the brain, to target specific sets of neurons. In order to implement a non-invasive BCI in a mobile phone, this study developed a mobile application to help paralyzed people who do not have the ability to use their phones to spend their basic daily needs, such as using the keyboard and interacting with PDF, etc.

Bluetooth based indoor location positioning system for mobile robot navigation

Positioning objects has been an important topic since it’s needed to locate people, guide them to a certain place, and assist companies and organizations with their assets management. Great applicational opportunities emerge based on the inquiry of Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). In this research, a positioning system using Bluetooth RSSI is proposed for indoor applications. First, RSSI values are inquired multiple times and the average is taken at multiple points of different distances from the transmitters. Then the distance is determined by the variations of RSSI values respectively to distance variations. Finally, a triangulation algorithm is used to calculate the current location of the receiver.

Blind smart helmet

The Smart Helmet for the Blind is a project aimed at providing solutions for the challenges faced by blind individuals in their daily lives. The problem of detecting objects, identifying obstacles and distances, knowing the current location, and using a mobile application is a common issue for blind people. To address these problems, the Smart Helmet project was created, utilizing advanced technology and artificial intelligence to provide real-time assistance to the wearer. The helmet is connected to a Raspberry Pi 4, which processes information from the helmet's cameras and AI algorithms to analyze and predict the surrounding environment for a blind person.

BioMEMS and Biomedical Nanotechnology : Vol. I: Biological and Biomedical Nanotechnology

Abe Lee has been working on micro/ and nanotechnology for biomedical and biotech applications since 1992. His recent research focuses on the development of integrated micro and nano fluidic chip processors for the following applications: point-of-care diagnostics, "smart" nanomedicine for early detection and treatment, stem cell biology and therapeutics, the synthesis of novel and pure materials, and biosensors to detect environmental and terrorism threats. Jim Lee's research interest includes BioMEMS/NEMS, and polymer micro/nanotechnology. In the last 4 years, he has over 20 refereed journal publications, 2 book chapters, and 5 patents in these areas. He is now leading an NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for Affordable Nanoengineering of Polymer Biomedical Devices at OSU.
