Evolutionary Computer Music

The evolutionary computation approach to music is an exciting new development for composers and musicologists alike. For musicologists, these techniques are used to model the cultural transmission and change of a population's body of musical ideas over time. In both cases, musical evolution can be guided by a variety of constraints and tendencies built into the system, such as realistic psychological factors that influence the way music is expressed, experienced, learned, stored, modified, and passed on among individuals. This book discusses not only the applications of evolutionary computation to music, but also the tools needed to create and study such systems. Embedded systems design : The ARTIST roadmap for research and development

Embedded systems now include a very large proportion of the advanced products designed in the world, spanning transport (avionics, space, automotive, trains), electrical and electronic appliances (cameras, toys, televisions, home appliances, audio systems, and cellular phones), process control (energy production and distribution, factory automation and optimization), telecommunications (satellites, mobile phones and telecom networks), and security (e-commerce, smart cards), etc. The extensive and increasing use of embedded systems and their integration in everyday products marks a significant evolution in information science and technology. We expect that within a short timeframe embedded systems will be a part of nearly all equipment designed or manufactured in Europe, the USA, and Asia. There is now a strategic shift in emphasis for embedded systems designers: from simply achieving feasibility, to achieving optimality. Optimal design of embedded systems means targeting a given market segment at the lowest cost and delivery time possible. Optimality implies seamless integration with the physical and electronic environment while respecting real-world constraints such as hard deadlines, reliability, availability, robustness, power consumption, and cost. In our view, optimality can only be achieved through the emergence of embedded systems as a discipline in its own right.

Earthquake alert with smartwatch = تنبيه الزلازل باستخدام الساعة الذكية

After the recent events and earthquakes that affected the region, resulting in the deaths of many individuals due to the lack of timely emergency response, the idea for this project emerged Earthquake Alert with Smartwatch. Initially, our application gathers information about the user, such as age, family members, and any existing medical conditions. In the event of an earthquake, the application sends an alert to the user. It receives earthquake information, such as ‘magnitude, time, location…’ from United States Geological Survey “USGS” through an API. If the user is within the geographical area affected by the earthquake, the application will assist the Smartwatch in calculating vital signs such as ‘heart rate and blood pressure’. Additionally, there is another artificial intelligence model that receives the user's audio recordings and converts them into written texts. All this information, along with the user's geographical location, will be sent to the nearest emergency point for the purpose of aiding those individuals trapped under the rubble.

Commercialization of the technology is proceeding at a steadypace. We haveseen watermarkingadoptedfor DVD audio.Fingerpri- ing technology was successfully used to determine the source of pirated video material. Furthermore, a number of companies are using watermarking as an enabling technology for broadcast monitoring services. Watermarking of digital cinema contentis anticipated. Future applications may also come from areas- related to digital rights management. For example, the use of watermarking to enhance legacy broadcast and communication systems is now being considered. IWDW 2005 o?ers an opportunity to re?ect upon the state of the art in digital watermarking as well as discuss directions for future research and applications. This year we accepted 31 papers from 74 submissions. This 42% acceptance rate indicates our commitment to ensuring a very high quality conference.

Deepfake detection = اكتشاف التزييف العميق

In the rapidly evolving era of artificial intelligence, addressing the escalating threats of deepfake technology becomes a necessity because of the increasing sophistication of AI algorithms in generating deceptive content, and since it threatens the integrity of information across diverse data. The main objective is to build a sophisticated AI-driven system to detect different types of deepfake in text, audio, and images. In English text deepfake detection, multiple pre-trained tokenizers have been used, but XLNET and BERT stand out with identifying objects outside the dataset with an accuracy of 0.9809 and both have been generalized & trained using LSTM. In Arabic text deepfake detection, Arabert has been trained using LSTM which led with an accuracy of 99.53% by generalizing the model. Both English and Arabic datasets have been generated to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of the models. Audio deepfake detection has been generalized too, using Random Forest with an accuracy of 98.259%.

This is done by analyzing audio patterns, extracting sounds and words from the video, and then converting them into written text. Deep learning, a branch of artificial intelligence, is used to accomplish this task. The study also includes comparing different deep learning techniques to determine their effectiveness in this context.
