لقد تمكن المجتمع الدولي من إنشاء منظمة الأمم المتحدة، التي استطاعت خلال حقبة التوازن الدولي أن تحقق العديد من المنجزات وخاصة فيما يتعلق بتحقيق السلم والأمن الدوليين، ومنح الشعوب المضطهدة حقها في تقرير مصيرها ونيلها استقلالها، وإقرار، مبادئ حقوق الإنسان عام 1948 واتفاقيات جنيف الأربع الخاصة بحماية ضحايا الحرب عام 1949 والعديد من القواعد القانونية التي تنظم العلاقات بين الدول في وقتي السلم والحرب، وعلى ضوء ذلك يقدم هذا الكتاب دراسة حول نظرية المنظمة الدولية، ويقع الكتاب في ثلاثة أبواب، ويناقش: التعريف بالمنظمة الدولية، مبادئ المنظمات الدولية، وأجهزة المنظمات الدولية.
