Mr. Hamouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the People's Assembly and members of the Board of Directors, met with Dr. Abboud Al-Sarraj, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Arab International University and a number of faculty members and students at the University's Law Faculty. Following their attendance at the meeting of the Council today in the visitors' balcony to learn about the mechanism of passing bills and working in the People's Assembly and discussions under the dome.
The President of the Council expressed his happiness at receiving the students of the university and attending the session of the People's Assembly, pointing out that they are members of the rising Syrian generation, builders of the future, stressing his pride and appreciation for the efforts of the Syrian students insisting on continuing to seek knowledge and science to be responsible for the country. Despite this unjust war of terrorism, which we were able to overcome thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs, the bravery of our army, the steadfastness of our people, and the leadership, wisdom and courage of the master ship of the trustworthy homeland, leader of the march of steadfastness and victory and the leader of the process of construction and reconstruction Mr. President Bashar al-Assad, marking the way towards final victory.
The President of the Council also gave a detailed explanation on the mechanism of passing laws in the People's Assembly and forwarding them among the committees of the Council to find the best formulas that fit and serve the interest of the homeland and the citizen.
For his part, Professor Aboud Al-Sarraj expressed his happiness with his attendance at the People's Assembly session and thanked the President of the Council for giving this opportunity to his students to inform them about the mechanism of legal and legislative work of this prestigious legislative institution.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the Council presented a commemorative gift on behalf of the People's Assembly to the Dean of the Faculty of Law, as well as commemorative gifts to the students and the faculty and thanked them for their visit and wished them success in their scientific achievement.
The meeting was attended by a number of members of the Council.
