Prof. Dr. Marwan Zabibi

Holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Damascus University with a major in Electronics in 1978. Received a Diploma in Electronic Design Engineering from the Philips International Institute, Eindhoven, Netherlands in 1982. Received a PhD from the University of Technology in Loughborough University- UK Digital Communications Department.
Member of the Syrian Engineers Syndicate since 1978. Member of Syrian Computer Society since 1998. Member of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Computer Society from 2000-2003.
Held several positions at the Arab International University as a professor at the Faculty of Information and Communications Engineering and then as vice president for scientific affairs until 2015 and Dean of Scientific Research until now.
Has several projects in the Ministry of Interior in the Syrian Arab Republic, including a project to automate the civil registry, the design of the security badge for the Syrian identity card, the design of the security badge for the modern Syrian passport and the processing and storage of fingerprints.
Published a number of books, papers, scientific reports, research and scientific studies in the field of Arabization of the computer, the automatic identification of speech by computer, digital communications, information and communication, information security and information systems in a number of scientific and technical conferences and journals in Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Japan and Britain.
