Abstract

This research paper examines the effect of leadership behaviors and transparent internal communication on knowledge sharing. The previous theories report a positive association between managerial leadership behaviors, transparent internal communication, and knowledge sharing. Methodology scrutinizes academics by applying a survey on private universities from the higher education sector in Syria. A convenience sample is considered from private universities in Syria. The regression analysis indicates a positive effect of leadership production emphasis and internal transparent communication on knowledge sharing behavior. The sample size is the main limitation. Future studies should explore larger samples and geographical locations. The institutional policy implication advocates emphasis on conducting training workshops to enhance academic competencies and skills.

Keywords: leadership behaviors; transparent internal communication; knowledge sharing; higher education.
