SARS-CoV-2 outbreak has prevailed in Syria during 2020 showing symptom heterogeneity ranging from severe and mild COVID-19 symptoms to asymptomatic. So far, several qualitative and quantitative assays to analyze anti‑SARS-CoV-2 antibodies have been developed. The medical necessity of taking the vaccine against SARS‑CoV-2 has been debated, and detecting anti‑SARS‑CoV-2 antibodies has become essential to make the suitable decision in this regard. In this study, the seroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies among academic/administrative staff and students at the Arab International University will be determined to investigate the relationship of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies positivity and presumed asymptomatic infection with SARS-CoV-2 as well as how necessary it is to take vaccine against SARS‑CoV-2 in the study group.
