Encyclopedia of Algorithms
Provides a comprehensive set of solutions to important algorithmic problems for students and researchers, including high-impact solutions from the most recent decade.A must-have for computer scientists, this encyclopedic reference has been edited by Ming Yang Kao, Editor-in-Chief of the top journal in the field, Algorithmica, All of the entries have been written and peer-reviewed by experts in the field. Nearly 400 entries are organized alphabetically by problem, with subentries for distinct solutions.
Digital Image Processing
The book offers an integral view of image processing from image acquisition to the extraction of the data of interest. The discussion of the general concepts is supplemented with examples from applications on PC-based image processing systems and ready-to-use implementations of important algorithms. Each chapter now includes exercises that help you to test your understanding, train your skills, and introduce you to real-world image processing tasks. An important part of the exercises is a wealth of interactive computer exercises, which cover all topics of this textbook.
Dependable computing ; 3rd Latin-American Symposium, LADC 2007, Morelia, Mexico, September 26-28, 2007, Proceedings
This book presented fault-tolerant algorithms, software engineering of dependable systems, networking and mobile computing, experimental dependability evaluation, as well as intrusion tolerance and security.
Biologically Inspired Approaches to Advanced Information Technology ; 2nd International Workshop, BioADIT 2006, Osaka, Japan 26-27, 2006, Proceedings
This book contains 30 articles and three abstracts of invited talks presented at The Second International Workshop on Biologically Inspired Approaches for Advanced Information Technology,The workshop is intended to provide an e?ective forum for original research results in the ?eld of bio-inspired approaches to advanced information technologies. It also serves to foster the connection between biological paradigms and solutions to building the next-generation information systems.
Ant Colony Optimization and Swarm Intelligence ; 5th International Workshop, ANTS 2006, Brussels, Belgium, September 4-7, 2006, Proceedings
ANTS – The International Workshop on Ant Colony Optimization and Swarm Intelligence is now at its ?fth edition. The series started in 1998 with the - ganization of ANTS 1998. At that time the goal was to gather in a common meeting those researchers interested in ant colony optimization: more than 50 researchers from around the world joined for the ?rst time in Brussels, Belgium, to discuss ant colony optimization and swarm intelligence related research. A selectionofthebest paperspresentedatthe workshopwaspublished asa special issue of the Future Generation Computer Systems journal (Vol. 16, No. 8, 2000). Two years later, ANTS 2000, organized again in Brussels, attracted more than 70 participants. The 41 extended abstracts presented as talks or posters at the workshopwere collected in a booklet distributed to participants, and a selection of the best papers was published as a special section of the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (Vol. 6, No. 4, 2002).
Algorithmic Aspects in Information and Management ; 14th International Conference, AAIM 2020, Jinhua, China, August 10–12, 2020, Proceedings
This volume constitutes the proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Algorithmic Aspects in Information and Management, AAIM 2020, held in Jinhua, China in August 2020. The 39 full papers and 17 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 76 submissions. The papers deal with emerging important algorithmic problems with a focus on the fundamental background, theoretical technology development, and real-world applications associated with information and management analysis, modeling and data mining. Special considerations are given to algorithmic research that was motivated by real-world applications.
